lyrics

I’ve had to sell so many soles, it’s like my shoes are held by
the glue beneath the posers, hold the gum to tell guys
to hold the guns to their own heads and hesitate to tell lies
to hedge a bet against the pace we moving all of our rides

it’s a wave of heat I’m proving I believe in one size
you see the suits and this the truth we telling people to hide
I’ve been on loops around computers, got the fruit to realize
I bend the rules just enough to muster up my own lines

and this the time spent living, giving up’s a suicide
but then the mind don’t get it, spitting all of this to bide
while I will buy my minutes, spot the finish on the shine
here to try my critics on the critique of the tribe

realize long-living is the pursuit of the prize
go to church watching sinners tell they stories to the tried
preaching to the choir, wanna try all of their cries
to circumvent what we desire, be the buyer by design

Hook
I don’t know much about it, but I say what I do
I don’t know much about it, but I talk about you
I don’t know much about it, but I say what I do
I don’t know much about, much about you

I found help for myself underground,
deep down at the bottom of the well where they found me
won’t let a sound leave without touching up the surface
I met a lot of serpents when they drowned me

file it with the urges in the manila envelopes,
band it together, got the bandits in the pentalobes
screwing to settle, fuck the letters, they just get us so
featherlight together, feeling sick, I better let it go

and when I get the medicine, to put it in the center
of the bezel, holding coins like all they money is the easel
writing petals they forget to jettison the something special
holding edges of the knives against the wives of their dishevels

won’t suffice another minute, I won’t finish what I’ve entered
just to pen another line, the pen is how I start a sentence
or whether I get defined by these syllables I’m etching
the best part of what I get is living on the less, a recession
